| A great hotel, so accomodating. Thank-you. We arrived in Brugges in the snow with a 250km journey ahead of us which we knew would be impossible due to the weather. You soon found us a family room and we had two great, relaxing nights while we waited for the weather to clear. What could have been a disaster was a great start to our holiday. Thanks again. |

| My wife and I made an excursion to Brugge on the recommendation of a native we met in Paris. He named three hotels to try and Hotel Portinari was one of them. Great hotel, Great city. It made our honeymoon complete. |

| My friend and i stopped here recently on a girlie weekend.The hotel was great the staff are very welcoming and friendly.the hotel is perfectly placed if your travelling by train it is a ten min stroll through a very pretty park and is easy walking to shops and resturants.We will definatly be going again.The one thing i will say is that it is a quiet hotel and seemed to be mostly older people stopping there and as a result the bar was very quiet infact my friend and i were the only ones in there!this did mean we had agreat chat with the friendly bar man who advised on the best chocolate shops etc |

| We stayed at your hotel from 23.12.07 to 26.12.07. We had a fantastic time. The room was lovely, the food was great & the staff were extremely amenable and we would not hesitate to book with you again and will certainly recommend you to friends staying in Brugges, thanking you for your hospitality Caren & Tim Meyer |

| One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The Jnr Suite is a lovely size for the family, nicely appointed and very clean. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful.It is well positioned for all the local attractions and the buffet breakfast included something for all tastes. Well done and we hope to visit again soon. |

| We were staying in the portinari for two nights and the service and atmosphere was superb,we also dined out at the nari thai after being recommended by the hotel to go there and that was also superb,we will definately book into this hotel again.MANY THANKS |

| We have stayed twice at The Portinari at the end of motorcycling trips round Europe. The welcome,service and standard of accommodation are excellent. We will now make always make this our final stop prior to boarding ferry home and recommend this hotel for both long & short stays. |

| A pleasant and friendly atmosphere greets you on arrival. A well maintained establishment with comfortable facilities. Rooms are compact but air conditioned and well aired. If asking for a double room then ensure that you confirm that it has a double bed and not two singles pushed together. The selection at the breakfast was varied and well presented and refreshingly tasty. An efficient and well run breakfast service. The hotel is in reasonable walking distance of the mainline station and main central activities. The town itself is a picturesque and charming array of historic and cultural buildings and on foot is the best transport to ensure that you capture the beauty of this amazing city. However both the horse drawn carriages and the canal boat rides are a must for all. Overall a very enjoyable and worthwhile trip to a fairytale city. |

| As a tour operator, I have led several groups to this hotel and all of my clients were beyond happy--they loved the quaint character of the Portinari and found the staff to be supremely friendly and helpful. I don't even consider using other hotels while in Belgium. It is a given that the Portinari is the property of choice. Thanks for helping to make our Brugges experiences so very memorable.

| Hotel was very central and was in walking distance from the railway station and all shopping area's.
Hotel was very clean and there was plenty food to select from at breakfast .

| We changed our itinerary going to Bruges instead of elsewhere.
The Portinari was our first stop after parking the car. Stephane, the manager,and his staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Our stay was the highlight of our vacation. Stephane made positive suggestions as to what to do, where to eat and what to see, making our experience all the better. Had we not had reservations elsewhere we would have extended our stay in order to continue our friendship.
When we return to Bruges there is no other hotel at which we shall stay. |

| I have just returned from visting Bruges, where I stayed at the Hotel Portinari. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms are to extremely high standard, the food was delicious and the staff made our stay even more pleasant with their friendliness and helpful manner. I look forward to returning again in the very near future. |
